ILLUMINA VOICES present ON WINGS OF SONG

From Birdsong to Broadway, through music that celebrates dreams, lullabies, and the absolute joy of singing, this concert promises an afternoon of beauty, nostalgia, and uplifting harmonies.

Highlights of the program include Edward Elgar’s emotive Fly, Singing Bird, the timeless Beatles classic Blackbird, and the rousing anthem Why We Sing by Greg Gilpin. Audiences will be treated to the spirited show tune As Long As I’m Singing and the luminous contemporary choral work Songbird by Sarah Quartel.  Adding sparkle are beloved favourites such as Singin’ in the Rain, the evocative Lullaby by Daniel Elder, and the jazz classic Lullaby of Birdland, bringing warmth and swing to the program.
